Meeting of the BvCM Working Group Insolvency Practice in Münster

Brillux GmbH & Co. KG in Münster, a leading manufacturer of  wall paint, hosted the latest Insolvency Practice Group meeting of the BvCM. The well-attended event on 22 November 2016 focused on the reform of avoidance of transactions in insolvency proceedings. More than 40 Credit Manager were joining the meeting to listen to lectures concerning the latest developments, jurisdiction and effective safeguarding of their creditors rights in case of their customers falling into insolvency.

Attorney at law and leader of our Practice Group Insolvency Law, Michael Schmidt, presented two lectures. He spoke about how to enforce successfully security rights and informed about current issues on the reform of avoidance of transactions in insolvency proceedings. Especially his second speech has been once more a subject of discussion among the participants. Attorney at law Michael Schmidt resolved uncertainties and expressed his hope, that the recently stagnant legislative procedure will be successful before the end of this legislative term.

The next Insolvency Practice Group meeting will take place in June 2017 in Göttingen.
