Very well attended ServiCon anchor day „Law and Risk in Associated Groups”
More than 80 representatives of associated groups accepted the invitation of the service society ServiCon of the SME group to Cologne on 6 November to exchange views on current developments in the legal field at this year’s so called anchor day, which focused on “Law & Risk in Associated Groups”.
On the agenda of the network event at the foot of Cologne Cathedral were numerous exciting practical lectures by ServiCon partners, which offered a broad spectrum of topics. Joscha Erk from Cronbank AG, for example, dealt with company pension schemes, while the contributions by Dr. Andrea Eickemeyer from Prof. Schumann GmbH and Ailert Biermann from R+V Allgemeine Versicherung AG focused on digitisation and related cyber risks in associated groups.
The afternoon’s program included, among others, Lutz Paschen, attorney at law, who took stock of the reform of avoidance of transactions in insolvency proceedings that came into effect one and a half years ago. He presented the most important reform contents and explained their practical relevance for associated groups. His advice to those who want to benefit from the reform: Use cash transactions more intensive and, in the case of old liabilities, use the new rules on payment agreements.
Managing Director of the SME group, Dr. Marc Zgaga, who moderated the anchor day, was impressed by the lively participation and the intense exchange and thanked all participants, exhibitors and speakers for the successful event.
